Ate their with a group of about 7, on a Friday evening. Staff were friendly and helpful, the Bistro is modern and pleasant and most importantly the food was superb. Wide ranging menu and all the dishes we received were delicious.

We were recommended to visit this star of a bistrot. Very friendly (and dog friendly too) top food, beautifully served at affordable prices. We will visit again soon.

Taking a detour from our normal direct route from Ouistreham to our house, we went to Arromanches. Cutting back across country we arrived in Torigni in time for a late lunch.Le Bistrot was heaving... If the patrons could park outside you would not see the place for White Vans - a very good pointer for Menu a Midi. Have no worries about parking, it you will find one just around the corner. We did have to wait about 5 minutes to be seated as the previous patrons were just about finishing their meals... We were given the menu, but asked for the Menu de Jour - which was on a blackboard - and was being selected by others around us. Starter was Rillet (rough pate) with the obligatory lettuice leaf or two and a cornichon (gherkin). Plenty of Bread was provided...The Main was Saucisse Anciene (Not actually OLD Sausage), cut from a very long sausage and cooked in a delicious sause and and enormous helping of frittes. The bread was replenished, and Mustard was also in the basket..The Sweets looked tempting - but alas we were too late - all gone.To drink I had a demi of Jupiter, and my wife (who was driving) had a biere sans alcool. A carafe of water was provided without asking...Service, after we were finally seated was prompt and couteous.

Great food, great value, great vibe to the place. Enjoy a beer or glass of wine on the patio, listen to good music, and chat with the friendly staff.

Went to Le Bistrot 3 nights running this week as we were staying locally. Really friendly waitress for first 2 nights and her 'boss' on the final night was great too! Food was well-priced, good quality and service was fast. We will definitely return when next visiting. Can't fault it for a family meal.
