We were a group of 6 people and had chosen the menu at 24 eur and 30 eur.For a waitress who knows his profession well, his welcome was deplorable, not at all kind and service more than long.The entries were good (goat's salt, ocean, gourmet and half-cuit foie gras). The dishes were disappointing: the salmon and the sole (drink of the day) were served in very small quantities (it would have been said to be serving children) without taste and much too cooked. The tin was inmangeable because hyper nervous. There were two little cepe dice as a cepe for the cepesseul sauce the magret was good although his cepe sauce had nothing extraordinary: idem 2 little cep dice! The potatoes in the oven were floury served with pure fresh cream! The desserts were not good: the apple tatin pie was all soft - probably warmed up in the microwave, the ice was not great because the première material was not good.To top it all, we had to claim our digestives that were included in the menu. The only thing that was good was wine (and again). normal, it was the untouched product in the kitchen!We were more than disappointed by the quality, reception and service all the more because it was not our first visit to them (last visit last year). We will often eat at the restaurant and it is the first time we decide not to return to a restaurant.
I'll try to get short but full! after having received a voucher of 60 € (citydeal) for this restaurant, valid only in week (not practical), we left with my husband: possible reservation but only for 21h30 - arrived there on time, 45 min so that we come to see us for the order and know if we wanted an aperitif - 1 h afterwards, entry that arrives with bottle of wine of 35 while we had ordered a 75 but impossible to catch forced to go to the kitchen to get a fork and a knife, for the water we took on the neighbors' table, and for the rest so bad! the dish: (go to see prices!) a ridiculous piece of meat for my husband (full of nerves) and a poultry in the plancha all dry for me accompanied by. a potato cooked in the oven in alu paper with a coffee spoon of pure fresh cream. I couldn't finish. - the dessert: wait, wait (still as despite leaving the restaurant as it was), at midnight it was more possible to leave without having tasted it (especially that one of the guests leaving told us that she had not loved it). Arrived at the crate and already well-earned to leave them subs (as we had abandoned the dessert), we were asked for 17 € of drinks!!!! (2 kir 35 cl of rosé) the boss was there, completely drunk (he had just made his little number while we ate: titubant through the restaurant and grinding that we could smoke inside, while we were all eating). We start to go back (on the coupon there was not specified "except drink)," except that the drunk boss who died to start catching us, making great violent gestures, his partner does not move, the waitress looks as terrified as we. Something completely unreal. So at midnight spent in a small alley of Toulouse facing a guy in a state. and with a couple just as hurried and not more reassured, we paid our € 17 and we left (we will call citydeal tomorrow) and we paid in addition to 6,50 parking (yes, more than 3 hours of car park). And for the anecdote: When I asked for a card to remember the waitress, she looked surprised and didn't. This restaurant is a must visit while in St. Emilion. With it's warm atmosphere and amazingly friendly staff you are sure to enjoy your experience. The menu is an eclectic combination of fresh local favorites and amazing wines. Although the menu is written in French the staff is more then willing to translate and make suggestions. The prices were very reasonable and everything from the appetizer to the desert was perfect.They have a slogan on their sign in front that reads " Our speciality, wine tasting by the glass, dish of the day, and English Spoken with a french accent " I would add to that hospitality with a smile. I would return again and again :}
