Just had a wonderful lunch - gambas to start, fish or pork for main and panecotta for desert. All for £20 a head! Truly delicious. Just the right amount of food for a midday meal and the mix of flavours and presentation a delight. A must go!

!2 of us had lunch here to celebrate a 50th birthday. We ate in a delightful courtyard. The food was lovely, tasty and interesting and the staff really helpful catering for 2 small children and a gluten free diet. We had lovely bottles of rose and a 3 course meal at a very reasonable price.

5 star village restaurant which would compete with the very best in any big city. Top quality ingredients, innovation menu based on local market produce and attentive service. Would definitely like to return but reservations are essential. If you are in the area you absolutely have to visit

In the pretty village of Vaugines "Le P'tit Resto" looks nothing out of the ordinary, but it really is different and well worth a visit. Typical of France, it is run by a couple but unusually it is her in the kitchen with him looking after "front of house"I cannot guess what you will eat when you visit as the short menu changes regularly but we enjoyed a remarkably good three course meal for 32€. The combination of flavours was original and worked a treat. Also, the food looked beautiful on the plate. I thought that the starter and the pudding were better than those we had from two other places in the area that boast Michelin stars. While I was having to think about my driving licence, I enjoyed reading the unusually extensive wine list that was being carefully explained to other diners by our host..At £32€ for dinner "Le P'tit Resto" represents exceptional value for money and t is justly popular so do book ahead.

This is off the beaten track so you need to know it is there! The 3 course lunch for 22 euros is excellent value..... innovative cuisine....It is a fixed menu with usually a choice between fish and meat. The room itself can be noisy so if in summer do ask to sit on patio.

We had two dinners at Le Petit Resto--both were outstanding, not only for the delicious food, but for the cheerful, friendly efficient service. There are only two staff--Caroline, the talented, creative chef, and Benoit, the exceptional host/server. Great fun, great food!

On the recommendation of friends we visited for dinner and weren't disappointed, the 32 euro menu is outstanding, including 2 amuse bouches. A choice of fish or meat and cheese or desert, Benoit helped us choose glasses of red and white wine as we didn't want a bottle. The flavours of the food were outstanding, highly recommended

We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident while on a hike and decided to come back for dinner. It is run by a young couple (with a baby). The very personable husband runs the dining room and the wife is the chef. I guess it is pretty new, but it is already quite popular. The dining room is very simple...pleasant but not elegant. The food is very ambitious and imaginative, and overall was excellent. The wine list is very good. Of the seven restaurants we ate in when we were in Lourmarin, we thought three were excellent, and this was one of them...although each of the three was quite different.. I'd go back any time.
