Le Moulin de Verteuil Réserver une table

We visited hoping to have pizza (they had finished serving that) so we had brioche and coffee, which was nice. One member of staff was extremely rude. Fortunately another lady took over and was much nicer. However when leaving we had to deal with the rude lady who made us wait for a long time before taking payment.

We spent a very pleasant few hours at this gorgeous working water mill in Vertueil Sur Charante! The outdoor terrace is stunning overlooking the weir and river and the chateau! We ordered coffee and brioche and it was served very quickly by a very friendly lady. The brioche was straight from the oven served on a slate dish. Delicious! They also serve lunches and we will definately be back soon!

We have frequented this restaurant many times and it never disappoints. Took the opportunity on our most recent visit to purchase and eat one of their Brioche loafs made on site with coffees. It certainly was the best Brioche I had ever tasted. Highly recommended.

Great location what a waste.The service is grudging and surly they make it clear that they would rather not have any customers.We had the set menu,I would not feed it to my dog,dreadful grey overcooked slab of meet purporting to be fillet of beef.The only positive was that the chef agreed with us saying it was beef he just over cooked it,which just goes to show how little they care.DO NOT be seduced by the location.

Le Moulin de Verteuil is located in an old, working water mill in charming Verteuil close to the beautiful chateau!While the food is certainly not bad (the pizzas / Flammkuchen / tarte flambee are in fact excellent) the service is very poor as the two waitresses are certainly not up for their tasks. Example: it took over 30 minutes to get some bread, the people who arrived later were served earlier, etc etc. Conclusion: I might come back for a pizza a la Savoyarde at a less busy day!

Visit to my sister and usually end up going here for a coffee and some freshly made brioche.. beautiful setting beside the river.. an abundance of birds herons and geese.. The brioche is lovely so sweet and soft... one of our favourite coffee stops...

1 This is An amazing location.2 food is fresh , though no longer hot when served.The Resto is not kids-friendly, no baby chair, long waiting even to get a drink.All different dishes came at a different moment , which means there was always one of the 3 on the table having a starter or main or...But i repeat, you Should go for the location.

We popped in just for an ice-cream.The (grumpy) waitress was already waiting impatiently for our order before I'd even sat down. (It wasn't busy: only 1 other family there)Her mood didn't improve the next 2 times she came: not when we asked whether they came in cones or bowls; nor when we spoke English or attempted French.The ice-cream was nice, the toilet has an unusual surprise but we were put off buying a brioche by the amount of flies & wasps buzzing round/on them... (but there is a beautiful baker round the corner)
