I would have preferred to rate this as good rather than very good, but choice on rating goes from fair to very good. If you want a typical meal then it's good. Not expensive but service is hit and miss, depends on your server, first night don't think the waitress even looked at us and we felt like she didn't care. A week later totally different waitress who could not do enough for us. Wine list is inexpensive and can offer good value on some bottles.
On my first trip to this town, it's the only restaurant that welcomed me to sit and wait till their dinner service time. I'm Asian and we have early dinner like 7pm. But here 8 or 9 is normal. I'd been walking around and asked a few places if I could have a drink at least but no. Only Rosy restaurant arrange a little table on the beach and told me they will be ready in half an hour.So every time I do this area, Rosy Beach is always on my to-go list ;-)The pizza is must try and also good variety of steaks. A few salad and pasta choices for a vegetarian.
I have been to this restaurant 4 or 5 times now mainly because my parents in law once said they liked it. So far I have not had what can be considered a good meal there. They can't cook steak (no idea how to judge a rare from a well done) and worse they take a perfectly good filet and slice it into cm thick medallions presumably so it will cook faster. Then they smother it in cream and add a few pepper corns for colour. Largely tasteless. Salads are better but for some reason are generally salted to death.It's hard to mess up a pasta but the 2 I've had there have been tasteless. Even the fries are fried to within an inch of their lives.Pizzas and deserts are passable.All at an inflated price because they're on the beach.The Ranch next door is a lot better.
This is a restaurant/bar directly on the beach, my husband & I sat ordered our drinks, were given the menus, my husband wasn't hungry and it was just me that wanted to eat, as soon as I mentioned to the waiter it was just me we were told no, we both had to eat, it was lunchtime & there were empty tables, but he more or less asked us to leave, I felt very uncomfortable and although my husband insisted we finished our drinks I just wanted to leave, it was actually our 21st wedding anniversary I was really upset.. We left walked along the beach where we La Playa a lovely restaurant/bar which didn't mind what we had, staff were lovely, I had a wonderful lunch my husband just had a desert, we ended up very happy
Beautiful setting right on the beach but couldn't comment on the food as unfortunately me and my friends had to leave 5 minutes into sitting down as they would not allow 2 of us to share a sea food platter. (Rest of us had all ordered pizzas to ourselves) They have a rule of every person at the table having to order what they consider to be a 'main' but as this platter was almost $30 we thought it would be too much for one and wanted to share it between two with side portions of chips. The staff we dealt with weren't particularly rude but said managers would not allow it so we left and went next door to pizzatti, which actually worked out pretty well as it had a much nicer, thriving atmosphere! But you would've thought they'd be more accommodating to customers considering the restaurant was practically empty!
