We have been coming to Villereal for ten years now, and it has to be said that this restaurant is a firm favourite of the family. This was our traditional end of holiday meal. The staff were , as always helpful with the booking, and in the evening in high season you need to been to save on disappointment. Some highlights on the menu for us... Longly braised pork, the onglet steak, confit duck. The chef comes out of the kitchen at the end of the evening, my hero, he cooks a steak to perfection. I have eaten many here.... yum.Yes the restaurant is on the corner of the road around the town, but this is really not an issue. I judge by the lunchtime clients, mostly locals come to have a good lunch. I cannot speak highly enough of this place.

Walked in without booking on a Saturday night! The staff re-arranged two tables et voila! Always book, for future reference, it is well liked! The staff are very good, the food superb, and the setting is also good. The menu is varied and the dishes served were of very good value. Would recommend a visit to anyone, families welcomed.

We live nearby and regularly eat at this friendly restaurant, we frequently visit with our friends and family. It's always popular with local people, which is a good sign. The food has been excellent every time we've visited and there is a good choice of traditional French cuisine or pizzas. Everything we have eaten at Les Marronniers has been first class. The chips and salads, which accompany many of the main dishes are delicious and the pizzas are always really good with thin crusts and a good selection of toppings just like the best Italian pizzas. The welcome is always very warm and friendly. The staff are helpful and the menu has an English translation. The servings are generous and food is excellent value for money.Highly recommended

I have eating at this restaurant many times, but this was the first under the new owners. I did wonder if the consistently good food & value would change - but no- its still great! It is good wholesome cooking, good portions, with a great menu, with something for everyone. The Escalope de Veau Normande is delicious, though great for pizzas too.A typical French cafe, with no pretence. Staff are very helpful, if just a bit slow on the service, but heh, its France, so go with the flow!

Just had a nice dinner here. We ordered pizza which was delicious with thin crust and and generous toppings of mozzarella and spicy chorizo. Prices are very reasonable, and service was friendly and efficient.

We have eaten here 2 days running for lunch and it didn't disappoint. The place has that traditional French feel about it. The staff are so efficient and friendly. The patrons are mostly French workers with a smattering of British. We had pizza both days and it was superb. Sorbet was great too.Very busy lunchtime but that's because its so good

Had a great pizza. Staff was helpful and correct, but it really feels like a mass-thing. Rushing around, shouting instructions to one another,... Good pricing too.

This place never fails to deliver. We eat here several times throughout the year. It is always quite busy & has a good atmosphere. Pizzas are great, thin crusts & delicious toppings. Duck & other dishes are equally good. Portions are very generous, think UK pub size. It's a family run place & patron who is also chef always comes out to chat & make sure you enjoyed the meal. Villereal is a lovely Bastide town & restaurant is just on outskirts. We usually park in square & walk down. Very family friendly, also good for large groups as lots of covers.
