This was our third stay at La Sapiniere, our last stopover before our return to England. The setting is fabulous with plenty of parking and surrounded by lawns and mature trees and great views way into the distance. Our room in the main part of the hotel was a little old fashioned but clean and comfortable. The only problem we had was that the restaurant was closed on Sunday night so we had to drive into St Omer to eat which meant we couldn't have a drink on the last night of our holiday. The breakfast in the morning was plentiful with a large variety of things to choose from.

We came back here especially as we had such a good experience three years ago. This time we were accommodated in the separate annexes which are spacious but the lighting poor. The shower is also dangerous and the floor smooth and slippery. The biggest disappointment was the restaurant service. We sat down at 8.15 and we're not attended to for over 25 minutes. We ran out of buttter and there were no menus to keep us occupied whilst we waited. I got these menus myself and also went to the bar for drink as clearly we were not going to be served any time soon. The staff, apart from an older lady seemed miserable and there were no smiles unlike the staff of the other restaurants we had visited on our journey. The food was nevertheless very tasty and plentiful but the 'whole package' was disappointing. We noticed also that the restaurant was not as busy as three years ago; perhaps they too have been put off returning. The staff need to up their game; sadly ,we won't be back and will find an alternative overnight stay close to Calais.

A small family run hotel with additional chalets in grounds. We stayed in the hotel, the bedroom was a good size with en Suite bathroom. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is about 2 miles from St Omer and with no restaurants in the immediate area, you will have to eat at the hotel or drive out. Having said that the evening meal was very good and the service excellent. There is an outside terrace with excellent view towards St Omer where you can enjoy a beer or aperitif. Breakfast is an additional €8 per head and is fairly basic. The site has ample but not covered parking. I would recommend the hotel for a one night stopover and only 30 mins from the terminals.

We stayed here on our way to Switzerland, very conveniently located for the Eurotunnel. We arrived late (about 9:30) and the bar was still open. The room was nice with a comfy bed. Lovely view from the bedroom.

We stayed in a ground floor chalet. All newly refurbished. Marvellous. Very, very spacious!!! Had a full kitchen (not that I was doing any cooking on this holiday!! But it's there and is well stocked with utensils). Ample parking. Even had a little outside sitting area into a wooded, calm area. Across the parking lot is the restaurant and bar and reception. The bar has lots of comfortable seating. The French open was underway during our stay, so we commandeered the best seats in front of the large screen tv (no, or very low volume). Can't praise the restaurant enough! Firstly, the setting is beautiful, on a hill overlooking the valley. A bit too cool to be sitting on the terrace on our visit, but I was tempted.... Linen tablecloths and napkins, very attentive service. We had half board. The selection was good and the food, wonderful....flavourful and well presented.A breakfast buffet left nothing missing. I'd love to stay here again

En groupe avec des amis pour une soirée d'anniversaire, nous avons passé une excellente soirée à la Sapinière. Accueil très sympathique des patrons ainsi que du personnel. Chambres spacieuses et agréables. Un beau décor et une vue magnifique.A recommander.
