While visiting this marvelous island we decided to look for a place for lunch. By searching on TA we came across this highly ranked restaurant.Despite it requiring a 10 minute walk up to the main town, we decided to give it a try based on its TA ranking.Once we got there we had to wait for a couple of minutes before being noticed at the entrance by the staff. I requested table for two. I was proposed a table that required cleaning. A lady who looked like the owner started cleaning the table. My wife, aware that we had a boat to catch, then asked the lady very politely if she thought we would be finished eating by 14.30 (roughly one hour later). The owners mood immediately changed, and answered in a very unpolite and violent manner "no, I will not serve you an express menu, I will not do that!". The attitude of the lady felt extremely rough and unwelcoming. Do notice that my wife had not requested any express or special service. She just asked the lady her opinion on how much it would have taken to eat lunch. Had she told us that we would be finished later we might have even changed our plans to catch a later boat, if we thought the meal actually deserved it.So I feel the lady's reaction was absolutely unacceptable. There are many ways of informing a customer (willing to pay for your service) that the service will take somehow long, and in this restaurant they chose the most unpleasant one.Both my wife and I were astonished by her reaction and decided to eat elsewhere.As we left I still had to listen that same lady mocking us to her waitressIn conclusion I feel my experience confirms some previous reviews which suggest an issue with customer service at this restaurant. Fortunately most staff in France do not resemble the lady we had to deal with at this restaurant.
