We booked this hotel as a half way house to break up a long journey to the Alps. We encountered the first issue on arrival which was the lack of English speaking staff, eventually the girl at reception did find somebody who could translate and we were able to checkIn although the staff did come across as very unwelcoming and quite frosty, I felt we were a hassle to them more than a valued customer. The rooms were very clean and comfortable although a little dated which didn't bother us. The swimming pool was nice especially because it was a very hot day.We used the restaurant in the hotel which was a little pretentious, non of the staff working could speak English even though the menu had an English version the staff couldn't translate, I ended up using google translate on my iPhone to order. Again staff came a across very frosty. The food was really nice but over priced especially the wine which seemed extortionate,18 euros for 25cl carafe of wine! The restaurant wasn't that accommodating to the kids, they could only offer a burger which might not suite everyone. Summary Great value rooms and the lack of English speaking staff is my problem not the hotel's just something to note if you can't speak French. I would recommend you stay here for the room but you might want to give the restaurant a miss if you want keep the cost down.
