We have been going to Nontron for the last 10 years and decided to try L'Eloquence for the first time this month after reading Trip Advisor reviews. The food was ok but quite over priced really for what we got and we tried quite a few different dishes. The plates were stone cold and therefore by the time the food got to us, it was only luke warm. Drinks - they didn't serve gin, had no Diet Coke and only one beer to choose from (which we found very strange! - perhaps we were too British??!). We also found the waiter quite stern and a little unfriendly...we took 4 children aged 10-13 (who were very well behaved) and they weren't particularly accommodating towards them either. Although our children are quite adventurous with food, some of the things on the menu weren't that appropriate for them - and they were definitely not going to change anything for them!! And had no children's menu/alternative. So all in all, it was ok but we definitely will not be going back anytime soon. There are many other restaurants that we prefer in this region that are better value, have a better food/drink choice and accommodate a group like us.
