"We were on vacation in Lake George last week and decided to have lunch at the Outlook Cafe. The meal was enjoyable, but my niece ordered a hot chocolate that unfortunately caused an incident. When the waitress brought the drinks to our table, she handed me the cup, and the cover came off, causing the hot chocolate to spill onto my leg. I don’t usually like to make a fuss, but it was so hot that I immediately felt a burn. The waitress quickly provided ice for my leg and was quite apologetic, but I was disappointed with how the situation was handled. They didn’t take my name or any information to follow up on the incident. I experienced pain for most of my vacation and had to spend money on products to treat it. Although the stain has healed well, I still feel scared about it. I was offered a free drink as compensation for my pain and suffering, which didn’t seem adequate to me."
