The steak was really good, not flawless though it had a bit too much char and not enough salt but it was tender and topped with delicious seafood.. I should clarify that I am extremely picky about meat quality so I have a very high bar. The tomato blue cheese appetizer was the best thing I've eaten in the last month and I'm not typically a big fan of blue cheese. I found this place online and visited for my Aniverasay, I drove about one hour. and when we arrived, it was nice since I reserved my table. I didn't have to wait. The atmosphere was Cain of Romantic,I order Some soup they were amazing ? And Their Butter sweet Very Good, Calamares were too sagging. Not crunchy... BUT for my entree I order Alfredo with Chicken and They were so salty That I couldn't eat them So When Our server came to the table after 20 min she was not attentive, I told her I couldn't eat my spaqueties Bc They were too salty and I am hungry. First time customers (my aunt and myself).A quiet and quaint restaurant with a soft ambiance.We started with calamari and shrimp bisque. Both were amazing however the temp of the bisque was not hot enough. The calamari on the other hand was mind blowing. Auntie Kells had a Margarita. I had a vodka martini.Her main course was chicken piccata while mine was an unbelievable roasted lamb shank. The mashed potatoes with mine had a creamy buttery flavor. This was our first time here. When we got there it was empty except for one other table at 6pm. Then it filled up pretty quickly. The atmosphere is so cozy and romantic. We started off with the flaming cheese. It was good. Different. Our table ordered the ribeye, orange roughy, etouffee, and beef Wellington. All were delicious. We had the lemon drop, coconut rum margarita and a dirty martini. This place is pricey but very nice for a special occasion. Give it a try . The service was fantastic as well.

The food was terrific. Our waitress, Leah, was so helpful in helping us pick out our meal. She was spot on on all her recommendations. Just sorry we were too full to try desert, maybe next time we go to Waco.
The food was very very good. Our server was very kind and very prompt. Went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied. I'm from Charleston, SC but will recommend this place to anyone I know that visits.
Charming ambiance delicious food, excellent choice of wines, Becky was an awesome waiter. Orange roughy and beef wellington were superb! Will definitely recommend this place.
We’ve been to 1424 on several occasions and have always found the food and the service impeccable. It’s our go-to place for a special night out.
