We began our meal with self-serve soup and salad, buffet-style. For everything else (except dessert), we ordered using an iPad at our table. We had the freedom to order either a few items or many, depending on our preference. As is common with many AYCE restaurants, they do ask that you only order what you can reasonably eat. I had a very uncomfortable experience at this restaurant. It was my first time at an all-you-can-eat place, and I was surprised to have servers come by our table to take away plates immediately after I finished eating. I found it hard to relax during my meal. At one point, I wanted to dip my sushi in the garlic shrimp sauce from another dish, and one of the staff members didn’t even acknowledge me before taking it away from my side. It felt intrusive to have so many people interrupting my dining experience. I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. When I requested green tea, I was informed there would be an additional charge of $5 and was brought a thermos of hot water with two tea bags. As you can see from the pictures, it was basically just hot water. The quality of the meat was subpar; it tasted off, almost as if it were expired. You can really tell that they use low to medium quality ingredients, yet their prices are medium to high. I won't be returning, and I can't recommend this place to anyone. We visited as a group of nine on Saturday for lunch, and the all-you-can-eat option was $30 per person. Our seating was nice and accommodating for our group. While the food selection was decent, I was a bit disappointed to find that there was only one dim sum item available. The Korean ribs were enjoyable, but the sushi rolls were just average, and the sushi pieces were quite large. The seafood noodles did not resemble the photo at all. Most of the salad bar and dessert options were served from a station.
My boyfriend, our one-year-old son, and I visit 168 quite often; it's our favorite restaurant. We truly enjoy the food, and the staff is consistently friendly. The wait time for a table is usually brief, except during Saturday dinner hours. We go there nearly every week and frequently bring new friends, who also end up loving it. I recommend it to just about anyone I talk to!
