The restaurant offers an extensive menu that made it difficult for me to choose what to order. I ultimately decided on the seafood pasta, which featured perfectly al dente pasta, plenty of seafood, and a flavorful sauce. Unfortunately, it could have been hotter when served, which affected my enjoyment. My partner ordered the carbonara, which was quite rich and a bit too salty for our taste.

There are two dining areas, and I preferred the room with a darker decor, but I liked the chairs from the other area more. I was telling my boyfriend how difficult it was to choose between the two when the manager overheard us and graciously brought us a chair from the other area. It was a quiet Wednesday night, so it wasn’t too hard for him, but I was still surprised by such thoughtful service! Throughout our meal, he frequently checked in on us and made us feel like special guests. We will definitely be back—this has become my favorite Italian restaurant in Perth.

I can never seem to find this place on any of the usual "best of Perth" lists online, so I decided to give it a try based on a recommendation from a friend who owns a fantastic pasta shop. He was right—this place serves excellent pasta sauces that are anything but bland or overly sweet; they truly deliver authentic umami flavors. They offer a variety of both traditional and experimental pasta dishes, along with many other delightful options, including a hazelnut half-freddo that must have been crafted by a master! It's one of those lesser-known Italian gems that you absolutely need to visit. They also host themed evenings once a month, featuring cuisine from different regions of Italy.
This has quickly become one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Perth—a true hidden gem. We visited for lunch on Friday and were thoroughly impressed! The food and service were outstanding, showcasing a wonderful mix of traditional and contemporary Italian cuisine. The crab spaghettini was absolutely unforgettable. While we weren't particularly fond of the polenta tarts, that might just be a matter of personal taste, as everything else was so exceptional.

First time visiting after hearing good things. We were looked after by Angelo who was very friendly. He even took us for a mini tour around the Perth Italian Club after we ordered our food! Entrees were flavoursome and the mains were divine. 4 of us ordered pasta dishes and one ordered veal which was delightful. I highly recommend this place and my mother is already looking to come back again! 5 out of 5 stars!
The food is excellent, and serving sizes are huuuuuge! I dare anyone to get through two courses… And just because the serving sizes are huuuuuuuge that doesn’t mean they have skimmed on quality. The meals are tasty, and I imagine authentic too. Sensational. The decor is reminiscent of the 70s in an endearing manner. Service was personable and very pleasant. Highly recommended!

My husband and I had dinner at 1934 to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We had the best dining experience we’ve had in a long while. Our meals were tasty, fresh and 100% quality. The wait staff were amazing. Totally recommend 1934. We will be back!!

Dined here last night with a group and the food, drinks service were fantastic. We had the Chef Feed Me Menu and I also had a cocktail dessert. Was delicious!
