Awful experience! I ordered the corned beef hash breakfast for $13.99, but what I received looked more like burnt and flattened bark mulch with two average-looking eggs. When I mentioned to the server that it looked greasy and unappetizing, she seemed displeased but took the meal back. She returned with the food and asked if I wanted to take it home in a box, which I declined. This was not a breakfast I would recommend to anyone. very disappointed by my man and my meal. first the waitress wanted to tell me if I changed from rührei to poached I would not like to enjoy the meal, it would be just a teller with ingredients on it. I specifically wanted the meal (irish bowl) because it is not served with brot and it came with 3 eggs that she tried to order me another so that I would get brot with my meal. I didn't want a brot and an extra egg. when I was given my meal, I was shortened a rush so that the meal was defeated. as far as I put the eggs in the bowl over the hath and kartoffels, I wanted the meal exactly. the pieces were very small for the price. my man ordered a sandwich that said about hard eggs, it came more ab...
I had the Webster's Farmers Combo for breakfast about 2 weeks ago.Eggs over easy, done as requested, goodBacon averageSausage patty I prefer links. This was below average because of my preference and because it was made with anise seedsHam very good, tender and tastyHome fries maybe a little above averageBiscuit great! The best part of my breakfast. It was certainly better than most biscuits that I've had lately and somewhat above an 8 out of 10 on my biscuit scale. ?I shouldn't comment on this but I observed someone at my table who ordered an omlette and it looked like it had been prepared by someone who had no idea as to how to make an omlette. My family and I came here and were seated promptly. After waiting about 20 minutes to order, another hour and 20 minutes went by without any food. The kitchen was overwhelmed with take-out orders and did not make their dine in a priority. When we asked how much longer it would be, the waitress did not look at us and just showed us where our order was on the kitchen screen. After waiting another few minutes with no update, we decided to leave. There was no apologies and instead all they said was k1 (our table) just left You are better off cooking at home. The food was good, but a bit expensive for the portion size of French toast and hash that I received. The hash was tasty though. I paid $20 for two thin slices of French toast, a small portion of hash, and coffee. My breakfast was disrupted by a child wearing a blue shirt, who was standing right above my shoulder the whole time. I'm not sure if his parents own the restaurant, but it was uncomfortable to have him so close. It also seemed like he was getting in the way of the staff. Overall, I was not impressed.
Highly underrated breakfast/lunch spot in Dover! Their homemade hollandaise is to die for!The food is a wonderful quality, and the service is upbeat, fast friendly!I spent more time reading the menu than I did eating choosing what I wanted was hard, wolfing it down was not !! Wonderful choices, amazing quality. 10/10 would recommend.
The online menu is no longer what they serveI ordered the hash and eggs with toast(No longer give you toast).And it’s about 3 dollars more then stated onlineI even shows the lady a picture of the meal and she said “the hash is a bit more shredded now that’s the only difference )Sorry not sorry for your 12 cent tip
There is no denying the deliciousness of the breakfast dishes prepared by the two home cooks at this restaurant. However, the prices have become a bit too high, comparable to a good dinner without alcohol. This visit ended up costing $58 for two people. Consequently, we have decided not to return in the future. The wonderful staff at 2 Home Cooks are always attentive and kind to their senior customers, even going as far as to deliver to rooms sometimes. They treat my nana well and the food they serve is delicious (Irish eggs Benny is top tier). Definitely worth stopping by.
