DECENT FOOD FOR THE PRICE Menu 33 is the Novotel HQ's inhouse restaurant. It is located on level 1 of the hotel and offers a relatively small range of menu options, with a focus on steaks. Its fine for a business dinner after work but its not the sort of place you'd go for a romantic dinner. the service is fine, the decor is OK but it just doesn't have the right ambiance. We (2 of us) ordered a main each which came with a choice of two side dishes we both chose the bean and rocket pear salad. For two years I've been dining here since it's handy next to the hotel. Two years I've been providing feedback... Unheard. Tonight was the last straw. Prawns almost raw... Covered in garlic sauce. Staff definately try, but I'd prefer they didn't. Portugese chicken... Hit and miss. Eye fillet... Really good Many other dishes just mediocre. They used to do a really nice Lamb backstrap but took it off the menu. I'm thinking the convenience is not enough to have me return
I hosted a dinner here with family and there were 30 guests and I'm glad I chose this place. Each meal was served together that no guests were left waiting. The food was delicious and each course served was well presented. I highly recommend the lamb spare ribs! The restaurant had a beautiful intimate ambience. The staff were so diligent, attentive and professional. The service was flawless and each staff deserved their own recognition.
