The portions are large and the food is average. The rooms are ideal for families, as there is a well-equipped playroom with direct access from the restaurant. There are two reasons to visit this restaurant: 1. You visit the Sylt aquarium in the same building and you urgently need food quickly. That was our case. 2. They are a fan of Fawlty towers and enjoy the extremely rude middle of old waiters. In our case he welcomed us with: this is a restaurant and not the aquarium canteen. (Translated from German. At this point we were ready to order, and we all had the menus before us, but instead of actually taking the order, he chose to tell us to get lost! Since our case was number one above, we placed the order with another waiter, despite the incurrence. You don't accept a credit card, so we had to go to the next ATM to get cash. In a typical tourist destination with high influx of tourists without being the currency, this policy could not be the wisest.
We found this place by chance and really liked the interior. The restaurant has a playroom that is so great for families and also offers a playground right outside the door. Service is attentive, but it seems that the guy talked to every table... but not we seemed to have been all locals. Even chatted while we served our table, which felt a bit strange. Food was great, fantastic pizza and pasta. Would go back.
We were eating more often in the 49s and were always enthusiastic. The guys in service are world-class! Super friendly, fast and always on the go. Food is good every time. Too bad that there is no longer the table at the big pool in the aquarium. But there's nothing for the 49. So full 5 stars.
