First time in this Brewery. I enjoyed a small flight of samples to find a beer that suited me. The knowledge is there when you ask questions as well being asked what are you looking for as in flavors. I happened upon this place by celebrating Indie Bookstore day. Raccoon River Press was one of our stops which is how I came about tasting some amazing flavors. Highly recommend.

Went here to meet up with a few friends and there is a lot of tables and space to choose from. The ambiance is a warehouse/more modern meeting house and you go up to the counter to order and pick your own seat. This is just a drinks situation: so if you're looking for a meal plus a drink bring your own food. They have a lot of local options and the staff was nice.

Good food and decent portions for Iowa at good prices. Most places in Iowa give you small portion sizes and you have to eat twice as much to get a normal size portion of food but I can say this place is not as stingy with their food.

Great microbrewery just west of downtown Des Moines. A real good selection of beers in a very laid back atmosphere. A no frills establishment that simply focuses on good beer. It is definitely worth a stop for a beer (or 2)!

Mexican Spring is my favorite local beer. Period. Always a great time when we stop by! Lovely people, great beer, fun ambience. Stopping by for a patio beer during a bike ride is a favorite summer activity.
