I was going to sit at the bar, grab a drink and order my food to go. It wasn't really much room at the bar so I went back to the hostess and got a table for 1. There were not a lot of people dining in (I was probably there about 5:30 or so. It took a little time for the waitress to come over but once she did I ordered and my food came out fairly swiftly. The food was a little too buttery and my first mind was to request to send my fish back (it seemed a little undercooked). The middle part of my fish wasn't very warm. Overall, the plate looked very appealing. This was my first time going. I will give them one more try and just request my fish be cooked a tad bit longer on the grill.
When we finally ordered, we waited nearly 30 minutes for our meals: a Big Texan burger and a grilled chicken breast. The salad arrived first, but the bacon was undercooked, which was especially concerning as I’m pregnant. By the time the rest of the food was served at 9:30, I took a bite of the chicken and found it still pink, and it was excessively salty. We paid and left, and it was surprising to see that the restaurant was empty the entire time, with only two other tables occupied. My husband did enjoy the burger, and the mac and cheese was passable, but the French fries were cold and hard. Unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll be returning; it used to be great, but not anymore.
I had a wonderful dine-in experience at the restaurant. Both the exterior and interior are impressive; it's relatively new and very clean. Since I went for an early dinner, the place wasn't too crowded. The server was quick and courteous, taking the time to explain the menu to me. I was seated across from the bar and ordered a sirloin steak with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans, along with a sweet tea to drink. In terms of flavor, everything was delicious—quite reminiscent of Texas Roadhouse, although it's slightly more expensive. I would definitely return for a special treat!
Awesome meal. Our server, Bailey, was amazing. Her personality reminded my wife and I of Penny from Big Bang Theory the way she was bubbly and friendly. She always made sure we were good on drinks and that our meal was prepared to our satisfaction. Our steaks were delicious and the Gator Bites were awesome especially with the spicy dip. I would certainly recommend this restaurant and when you go I hope you are lucky enough to be graced by Bailey and her friendliness. We have been in Victoria 8 times now and this is the first time we have eaten here but it will not be the last!
The people who own this also own The Texan Stores and Stir Soda Shoppe in Cuero. They are fantastic, wonderful people. When we first visited after they opened, they were having some issues with younger waiters and waitresses, but this in no way takes away from the fact that the food is pretty fantastic. My wife and I also got takeout from here one evening while on a date, and the steak was just as good as if I was eating it at the table. Worth the stop.
This is a lovely and clean restaurant with a fantastic bar area. The staff here are friendly and attentive. Our server and bartender, Tenille, was exceptional! She was very knowledgeable and ensured that we had everything we needed. The drinks were great, and the food was delicious. They have another location in Port O'Connor near the water that we’re looking forward to trying. I would definitely recommend this place!
My husband and I are celebrating moving into our new home and decided to give 5D Steakhouse a try. We were pleasantly surprised by how good our food was, our steaks and sautéed mushrooms were delicious! Our server Ashley made our dining experience even more enjoyable. The whole staff were friendly and helpful. We?ll be sure to ask for Ashley on our next dine in there.
The service is outstanding, and the food is amazing with generous portions. They are also strong supporters of our veterans! It was the best steak I've ever had! The bar area is spacious and a great place to watch the game. This place is a must-try! It has become our favorite spot for lunch and dinner.
