A Taste Of Texas - Réservation de table

First time dining here and will definitely be back!! $30 for a two meat platter with two sides and a sweet potato roll! We tried the brisket (chopped; they were out of sliced), ribs, pulled pork, and smoked turkey. All so tender and delicious! For sides we tried: Mac cheese, cream corn, fries, and coleslaw. Im not even a coleslaw lover but this one was tangy and a perfect accompaniment to the bbq. We enjoyed all our meats with their various sauces including: sweat heat, liquid gold, blueberry jalapeño, and their new peach whiskey. Peach whisky was my favorite !! but enjoyed all of them. The portions are huge so we are happy to know we will be getting to enjoy the leftovers for round two tomo...

Best BBQ we have found, so sad it took us this long to finally try it! Brisket was delicious and tender, the chicken was amazing it's smoked but not dry at all...if I could just have an order of the crispy chicken skin! I believe we met the owner who brought our food out to us, the service was so welcoming you'd think he was working for a tip! He came back to check on us after we received our food and came back with a variety of sauces to try, as well as a cookie for my daughter. My husband and I shared the two meat platter and ordered a half rack of ribs , it was more than enough meat for us and ALL of it was delicious nothing disappointed us!

I have some feedback on the dishes we tried at this restaurant. The coleslaw lacked sweetness , was salty , and overall flavor. In my opinion, the restaurant's offerings may not be well-suited to the tastes of black culture. The macaroni and cheese also lacked flavor, but the beans were excellent. The brisket was moist and delicious, while the ribs tasted like they had been boiled in Prison flavorless water and lacked seasoning. I did appreciate that the meat fell off the ribs easily and that the brisket wasn't tough. Overall, I found that many of the dishes lacked seasoning and flavor.. I forgot to take pictures!

OMGggggg...I ABSOLUTELY/HIGHLY RECOMMEND TASTE OF TEXAS !!! I love BBQ, it 's kinda hard to find a decent place...YOU GUYS ROCK!!! I 'm your life long customer!! Keep up the amazing bbqN...Lol... Some of the best brisket and pulled pork I've had anywhere. Meats were juicy, portions were big, and their collard greens and coleslaw were on point. Beers were reasonably priced, too. I wish they had some hot sauce and other condiments on the tables, but that's a minor issue. Will be back soon.

Visited Sunday afternoon. Restaurant had no pork ribs, beef ribs or beef brisket Your choice was DRY pulled pork, DRY smoked chicken or DRY sliced turkey with a side of HARD undercooked baked beans and a slice of stale white bread. NEVER AGAIN ....

Best BBQ place in Virginia. The Brisket, Mac and cheese and corn were amazing. The pulled pork Sandwich was amazing as well. The gentlemen and customer service were so nice, kind and humble. Definitely coming back to try their whole menu.

This is the best barbecue in town! The chopped beef brisket and the Green Beans were delicious. Excellent sauces if you want them but you don't even need them. Amazing cheesebread cookie thing. Réservez une table maintenant

The food is amazing. I'm traditionally not a big BBQ fan and only get them when I'm in the mood. This has definitely had me wanting BBQ more than normal. Already planning the next trip.

Watched the fella making the meats repeatedly wipe sweat off his face, not change gloves, and then stick that hand right into all kinds of ingredients. Won't be going back.
