After perusing various restaurants in the Southport area on Tripadvisor we decided that the reviews of Absolute Thai were impeccable and that we would go there for dinner. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with good old fashioned smiling service and seated promptly. We were given ample time to make a selection from a quite comprehensive menu and given a bottle of water to share whilst we did this. We decided to have 2 entrees, which were very reasonably priced compared to most restaurants these days and were very satisfied with our selections. A family dinner out with different tastes. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient without hovering. Started with a selection of entrees the fish cakes and chicken curry puffs were the stand outs. The mains were individually absolutely delicious where nothing tasted the same...freshly cooked food at its best. The proteins were not overcooked and the spices and herbs provided an authentic thai flavour. All agreed it was lovely food at a great price.
Had takeaway (delivered by uber eats) on Friday night. Absolutely one of the best Thai takeaways I've ever had and I've had a few. The delivery was quick, maybe 30mins from ordering to our door. The food was well priced and so good. We ordered the chicken satay entree, green duck curry and a chilli pork belly stir fry (can't remember the name). Really spicy and one of the best I've had. Next time I'm in Southport I'll be sure to order again.
Came for dinner last night and the food was delicious and the staff were friendly and efficient. The barramundi was so nice as was the crispy pork with chilli and basil. We also had a pad si ew which was great and the curried beef was also very tasty. Bonus is that we could BYO some wine which made it a very cheap night $75.00, can't beat that for 4 people.

Last night on Gold Coast and felt like some spicy noodles and this did not disappoint. On a recent trip to Thailand we enjoyed drunken noodles and so happy to getting something close! Not only did it hit the spot for mum and dad but the kids also enjoyed the fried rice and curries. Can't wait to come back to the Gold Coast for this authentic Thai!!
We arrived unannounced and were quickly seated. The staff are so friendly and so willing to help. It was nice watching trams go by because we don't have trams in Sydney. The food was amazing! Throughly enjoyed every bite and will definitely visit again!
Amazing food. We had the spring rolls, satay chicken and coconut rice. Good serving size and the flavour was impeccable. Looking forward to our next meal here.
Have been here for a week on holiday from NZ. We have eaten out every night and this is by far the best. Clean and modern. Wonderful service. Beautiful food!
