First came across Abundance on the Quay after being invited to morning tea with my Aunties whilst on holiday. Loved the food & the coffee from the get go & the service was excellent too even with a full service load on a busy Saturday morning! I tried the scones & the chai latte and they were excellent with particular mention of the delicious raspberry jam. The cafe quickly became more favourite place to grab breakfast before heading into Hobart. Special mention goes out to the Croque Monsieur which you need to allow a little longer when ordering but it's well worth the wait (sorry don't have a photo, was too delicious) Bear in mind there is limited table space so it pays to boo...
Brekkie d'anniversaire pour trois. J'ai eu les œufs au four, mon mari, la croque monsieur et mon fils les scones. Nous avons partagé la Bruschetta pour les apéritifs et c'était incroyable. Mon fils a expliqué son meilleur milkshake de tous les temps. Hubby a adoré la croque et les scones étaient incroyables. Le personnel était délicieux. Délai de lumière pour le filet, mais une belle façon de détente de passer la matinée avec les papiers. J'ai ensuite assisté à la famille du magasin, où j'ai acheté une broche à la main unique et une belle paire de boucles d'oreilles. Une bonne journée merci.
It is a homeware and a clothing store combined with the cafe. Fit out was really cool with textured squares of overlapping plywood fixed onto the ceiling that was not only pleasing to tbe eye but also great for acoustics.A popular spot we saw, they were definitely short of staff on the floor and in the kitchen. Both coffee and the hollandaise eggs with smoke salmon took a long time to appear, but was worth the wait. The 3/4 lattes we had had rich crema, was nutty and smooth as.
The food was quite nice, however, I can only assume there was some sort of incident in the kitchen which took 20 minutes to solve, because as far as I'm aware it doesn't take 45 minutes to make eggs. Though, frankly it did seem as though this was the norm, as no body seemed particularly concerned.There were some lovely servers, but I would have to question the management... The food and coffee in this bright, trendy café are beautifully prepared. Great attention to detail without being fussy or pretentious. Fresh, delicious and generous. It was packed and service was very slow on both occasions we came (once for breakfast, once just for coffee), but we weren't in a hurry and the food and coffee made up for it.
Le meilleur café dans lequel j'étais à Hobart. Grande nourriture, bon café et excellent service. Douleur Douleur La chaleur a ordonné des haricots et des chips de Nacho avec la soupe spéciale et les deux étaient délicieux. Va certainement retourner pour essayer le reste du menu.
