Doctor Syntax Hotel

Dined here on May 6 2017 for Dinner.Group of us booked in.no Steak meals,fisherman basket consisting of small serve of chips,one piece of fish approx200 mm long by 20 mm wide,very small prawns,some other stuff,not sure what it was but it looked disgusting....Better value at Flippers at Constitution wharf. I would not recomend this Hotel to anyone for food.

Après avoir été abandonnée de 6 autres restaurants parce qu'ils ont été entièrement réservés (avec 11 personnes dans notre groupe), l'un des ouvriers Ben est sorti de la voie de regarder et de profiter de la bonne nourriture et de nombreux rires sur le chemin. . The meals are fairly typical, standard pub food. I had a porterhouse steak and my wife had crumbed fish. Neither were spectacular, but I wouldn't complain about them and they were quite good value.The service provided by Ben was very friendly and efficient.There is ample parking at the rear of the hotel.

Decided to go to Dr Syntax for dinner. Heaps of car parking out the back. Driveway from Queen street was narrow. Venue was warm and adequate seating. Service was quick and meals arrived quickly. Had the calamari and prawns as a main. Ok meal. Recommended if want pub grub. Réservez une table maintenant

I had the pleasure of visiting this lovely little treasure last Saturday, the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful, great pub food, reasonably priced drinks and a ripper of a location in Sandy Bay. Well worth the experience.

Lovely hubby wife team w a sense of humou who care about their customers. Food is standard pub fare. The schnitzel is huge!!! My calamari were lovely. Simple fair, nothing exceptional, but a funky name and friendly staff.

Enjoyed a wonderful seafood meal which we shared between two. Fish was fresh. Great ambience and very friendly staff. Have been a few times in the past and it is always good.

Food was OK. Limited range of steaks on menu. Vegetables lifeless. A bit over-priced. Though it strange for a pub not to be open on evening of labout day public holiday. Réservez une table maintenant

Fantastic meal, calamari and sweet chilli chicken pizza, filing and tasty. Pool table in front bar a bonus for predinner drink.

started by trying some of the local ciders as recommended by the friendly barman Laughlin. 10 points food service atmosphere
