Located in the heart of Cochem, at the tail end of where the sightseeing road train stops, is the Kebab/Pizza/Schnitzel serving restaurant, Acar Grill. When we visited the town was packed, but still no one was dining here and all seats were empty, so it was a very risky choice, but we were time limited and hungry. We ordered two pizzas and the hunter's schnitzel, which comes with fries/chips. We spoke German to the staff, so didn't test their multi-lingual abilities, but they were friendly. Our meals were served quickly, the thin based pizzas weren't the best quality, but were generously sized considering their low cost,. This was a stop for lunch after we visited Burg Eltz and were craving kebab. It was not too busy, had a large selection, but only one staff member was working, so it took a very long time to order and get food. Our party of 5 got 4 diner kebab and 1 order of schnitzel with fries. The portions are large, but we waited awhile longer on a new schnitzel plate since there was a fly fried into the top of the original. It wasn't the worst ever, but I wouldn't return there either. Thee best kebab is still in Trier walkplatz.
