It'as the Saturday before ANZAC day and covid had faded. Everyone was relaxed and casual. With our limited experience of Portuguese cuisine we decided to share dishes. Every other table was occupied by boisterous Portuguese families. This was hearty food, wonderful thin based pizzas, distinctive entrees, great salted fish and seafood, luscious meats and mountains of French Fries. The grill was scorching hot and expressed in the flavours of the food. We had toasty Portuguese white wine, 2017 vintage. It was inexpensive and different.
