The owner here always welcomes you home and he sure means it. From the minute you get to top of the stairs you are treated like family that has been welcomed with open arms. The food is truly delicious and made with absolute passion and love. The service is impeccable, the restaurant is small so the staff can afford to give you all the attention you need. Afous is a delightful restaurant run by a wonderful family who welcomes everyone with open arms. I highly recommend letting them create a menu for you, so you can enjoy the best dishes they have to offer. We started with some lovely appetizers and tapas, with the prawns, mushrooms, and Halloumi standing out as the top choices. While the calamari was somewhat bland, it was beautifully crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. We had Saturday lunch there and it was an experience not easily forgotten. We actually walked past the entrance because it is quite understated. But that’s where the understatement ended. Walking up the stairs, we received a warm welcome from Omar and his team. This was not a gimmick I can’t remember the last time I felt so welcome/comfortable in a newly visited restaurant. We had a range of dishes; the scallops, lamb tajine, spiced potato and lentil fritters, couscous, green salad and fries. All were delicious. Next time, I won’t order fries they were so good, but too filling. Leave room for more Moroccan dishes. A very pleasant visit. The online booking was easy and efficient.
What a fantastic experience! The food was delicious, high-quality, and beautifully prepared. However, what truly stood out was the exceptional service, which is somewhat rare in Australia. When my husband made the reservation, he mentioned that I’m vegan, and the staff took great care to show me all my options. They even made some modifications to their dishes to ensure I had plenty of choices. The restaurant has a cozy ambiance, and the atmosphere is simply wonderful. Afous The owner was so welcome and he's so gentle. I give the stars to him. The view was fantastic, I was seating near the window and saw the boats it was a nice view. The staff was nice and the restaurant was clean. We order a lot of things on the menu. I ordered chicken and rice, the chicken without any taste and the rice as well. I tried my friend's dishes as well. The meat was so yummy, the prawn was good that I will recommend it. Prices he was quite high. If I go to Afous again I'll try fish or meat and the sweets. The parking was good.
What a sensational experience!! Walked in to find the friendliest and most welcoming staff. We didn't even look at the menu, as a group we asked for them to serve us their recommendations and oh my gosh we got the most amazing food. The fragrances coming from the food was mouth watering and every bite was better than the last, drinks were constantly topped up.. did I mention how amazing the staff are?! There was nothing to fault about this amazing restaurant.. do yourself a favour and book now!!
The seafood is so good with the sauce. My friend cant help it but finished up all the sauce. Cauliflower was a bomb with the spices. So far all the food we ordered was so delicious and rich in tastes. Plus point is the scenery and the service. The staffs are very entertainning. If you have a bad day pls do come here. I am sure the food and the staff will turn it around.
Warm and efficient service. We were given some water infused with orange blossom oil to rub our hands with to start. It smelled better the longer it stays on your hand. We loved the lamb tagine, it just melts in our mouth. We had it with couscous and what a lovely pairing. Will be back! Réservez une table maintenant
