This was a nice experience and the food was very well prepared. Here are some tips to make the most of your trip:-There are 2 seating areas. One is a long table sitting about 20 and there is a table at the window (you are sitting outside of the restaurant looking in). If you want a more private table choose the window for 2. Otherwise brush up on your socializing skills. -The chairs at the table are hard as rocks. Your butt will not be happy. Seems to me they could pop into a department store and buy a few cushions.-There are a lot of wines but no cola or juices. There is a lemonade type drink.-If you have special dietary needs let them know in advance. Chicken can be substituted for beef for example. -If there are vegetables you don't eat and they serve them: TRY them. I had some I normally never eat (Brussel sprouts, radishes, eggplant) and they were prepared very nicely. -I booked just 45 minutes in advance and got in. In that every chair was filled that was probably lucky and you should plan in advance. There are 2 desserts! Plan ahead.

First time dining here and it certainly won't be the last. All of the courses were fantastic and bursting of flavour- in particular, my favourite was the cured scallops. I rarely order pork unless its a slow roast at restaurants, in fear of a dry, bland piece of cardboard being served. I was slightly hesitant when i saw the pork shoulder on the menu, but taking the first bite into it and any/all hesitation was dismissed. The pork shoulder was cooked to perfection - tender and tasty. It was cooked so well that even heating up the left over meat the next day for lunch was delicious! Farmhouse is set up in a way where one long table sits the whole restaurant - I went with my partner and although it wasn't very romantic, it was a nice and suitable atmosphere for a couple. We enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant and the friendly chat with the staff. Overall, it was great value for money and a very delicious meal. Do yourself a favour and take away any of the food you cant finish 'cos it makes a fabulous lunch the next day!

The service was great, the food was very good. I particularly liked the second dessert and i am not a dessert person. The tastes and the textures were beautifully married. We were on a rarely-happens-date-without-the-kids and our neighbours were a super noisy group which made the experience not really great as you are sharing one big table. I guess you have to be lucky with the neighbours and we were not.

Took my favourite young man, (visiting from Ballina for City2Surf) for a special treat for both of us. Reputation did not disappoint. 5 Courses of delicious food, a set menu. Very cleverly designed one long table (saves space) and is differently appealing makes for a cosy atmosphere. Parking can be tricky but Kings Cross Parking Station is but a short walk. ENJOYABLE
