"Second visit to this beautiful establishment. I believe it’s sister to Chilston Park but surpasses it imho. The lounges are as sumptuous as the fayre is scrumptious! Sandwiches were replenished and teapots topped up without hesitation and no extra charge. We enjoyed a leisurely three hours and felt unrushed. It’s the place to go for a relaxing afternoon!"

I recently visited Ashdown Park Hotel with my mother and sister for high tea, and overall, the experience was disappointing. Despite being a prestigious establishment, we were not greeted upon arrival and had to seek out assistance from staff. Unfortunately, we had to return a teacup due to a lipstick stain and my tea was extremely weak, almost tea-less. The sandwiches were mediocre, with the white bread ones being dry and curling. However, the scones were delicious and our waiter was friendly. Some of the cakes lacked finesse, but were decent overall. We left without any acknowledgment, and despite prepaying with a voucher, the overall experience was not worth the cost. I cannot recommend h...

I went to The Brasserie for lunch and found it to be extremely overpriced and not very good. The asparagus was small and soggy and the parma ham was tiny for a cost of £11.50. The smashed avocado on toast with poached egg was cold and unpleasant, priced at £13.50. The fish of the day, sea bass, was so small that it was barely visible for £21. The only positive thing about the experience was the friendly waitress. Overall, I would not recommend going back to this restaurant and would suggest avoiding it altogether.

We had a wonderful afternoon with our group of friends at this restaurant. Anna and Tomi provided excellent service. We enjoyed delicious champagne and optional strawberries, followed by sandwiches, scones, and beautiful cakes. The sandwiches were generously replenished for us. We had a private lounge with a view of the lake. Unfortunately, the weather was not ideal for exploring the grounds, so we plan to visit again soon.

Our afternoon tea was a real experience, everything was so fresh! 3 different types of jam for the scones and bottomless tea! Melt in the mouth macarons, and light as air sponge cakes. The staff were so friendly and gave us a brief history of this amazing building! us 4 “ladies of a certain age”are experienced afternoon tea experts, and rate this as one of the best!
