We have ordered from here many times and have always been impressed. We consistently get the veggie sampler and it?s one of the best in the area! We are able to stretch one sampler over multiple meals. Friends have tried other dishes with rave reviews aswell. The only mark against them is their take out process. I always place my order over the phone and arrive on time, but thefood usually takes 10-15 minutes after my arrival. It?s worth it, but worth noting if you?re going to check it out.
We've ordered from Agelgil several times and are consistently impressed. The Veggie Sampler is our favorite dish and easily one of the best in the area, offering enough food for multiple meals. Our friends have tried other items on the menu and loved them as well. The only drawback is the ordering process—when I call in my order and arrive at the appointed time, the food often takes an extra 10-15 minutes to be ready. It's definitely worth the wait, but be prepared for a slight delay!
This was the first time I had been there. We ordered the veggie /meat sampler with gluten free injera. Everything was delicious. The only part I don't enjoy was one of the meat dishes had a lot of fat/grizzle I had to spit out. I will only order thevegetarian one next time. I also had the avacado smoothie. It was kind of bland, but OK ..tasted like diluted avacado with alittle sugar. I mostly ordered it to help coat my throat, since some of the food is spicy.
This was my first time dining at Agelgil. We tried the veggie and meat sampler with gluten-free injera, and everything was tasty. However, one of the meat dishes contained a lot of fat and gristle that I had to discard, so next time I’ll stick to the vegetarian options. I also had the avocado smoothie, which was a bit bland—more like watery avocado with a touch of sugar. I usually order it to help soothe my throat since some of the dishes can be quite spicy. Great flavors! Wish we had time to dine in, as to-go is a bit more difficult with injera, tibs and the like, but it was still so delicious! Carryout food was ready just a little after the time they told me it would be ready for pick up, (no more than 5 minutes, not a big deal)! Nice atmosphere in the restaurant and staff was friendly. Hopefully we'll have time to dine in soon for the full experience. I would recommend!
I was amazed by this establishment! The food was out of this world good. Such an amazing harmony of flavors!! I ordered 3 dishes which was WAY TOO much for 2 people, and so incredibly filling. Not only will I order again regularly, but I will also tell allof my friends about how good Ethiopian food is.
The kindness of both the staff and the patrons at Agelgil is truly remarkable. It was my first time trying Ethiopian cuisine, and although I don’t speak the language, they made me feel incredibly welcome. The food is absolutely delicious and full of flavor. I highly recommend this place!
