Agora Mediterranean Kitchen

I have been to Agora a couple of times now, and the food and the atmosphere is very good. It's a bit upscale for the area (Northwood), but that lends itself to a nice dinner. The staff know what it means to be vegan and will help you navigate the mostly meat and dairy based menu. I had some wonderful hummus, pita, and olives to start my dinner. Next I had the sautéed fresh artichoke and lima beans, which was tasty but unusual since the artichoke is served cold. The roasted whipped eggplant is nice too, if you like a roasted, smoky eggplant. This was my first time having Turkish food and I would definitely have it again. The service was great and they took their time to familiarize us with their menu and food. They were very welcoming. The food was fresh and delicious!! I’m ready to return for more. We enjoyed dinner so much that we were too full for dessert but the owner would not hear of it and gave us small samples of a couple of their desserts. I tasted the baklava and the pudding and I wished I had saved room for dessert. I will definitely visit again when I am in the area. Thank you for a pleasant and delicious experience Agora!!

We ordered two cold mezzes (eggplant and onion and pureed fava beans), two hot mezzes (zucchini pancakes and spinach rolls), and one main dish (okra), along with baklava for dessert. Everything was delicious and non-dairy if you didn't add the yogurt sauce. It was more than enough food for two people. The restaurant also offers many other vegetarian and vegan options. The ambiance was warm, ethnic, and eclectic, the restaurant was clean, and the service was excellent and efficient.

The restaurant is charming and slightly more upscale. While they don't have a wide variety of vegan options, they understand what vegan means and I was able to order several delicious and authentic Turkish dishes. The restaurant is lovely, but I can only give it a 3-star rating due to the limited choices for vegans. Réservez une table maintenant

excellent food, outstanding home cooked food, service was exceptional. we sat outside because of covid, a public sidewalk passes through the seated area, but thats unavoidable. They are an excellent restaurant and we will be back.
