Went there for lunch on Saturday around noon. Not busy, and no wait. Staff greeted and sat us promptly. Chose this restaurant because it was a mainstay during my high school days and into early adulthood. Surprisingly, it's still here! That is a testament to the quality of food, the atmosphere, and the great value. You can get bento boxes for under $15.00, and there's definitely enough food to fill you up. From what I recall,my bento was called the Akagi California. It's comprised of rice , miso soup, vegetable shrimp tempura, 3-piece California roll, and choice of one of the following in chicken katsu, 3-piece tuna sashimi , tonkatsu, or chicken teriyaki. Marco made my experience feel like home. This little Japanese spot is a nice getaway from the madness of the bay. The parking can get a little tricky but it's totally worth it. Inside is a small but cute dinning area. Their prices are more than fair for the quality and quantity of food you get. My order came out in like 10 minutes which is decently quick for what I ordered. I had the chicken teriyaki and two sushi rolls..highly suggest the lion king roll! The food came out fresh and hot off the grill. Overall this place surprised me and it's worth checking out while catching a break from the traffic.
I love to eat at this restaurant! This place has really good food at very reasonable prices. I usually get the deluxe bento meal where you can choose three options and I always have leftovers from the meal. I haven't tried the sushi yet here, but the prices for them look really great and looking at the other tables who do order it they are pretty big rolls.
By far.. one of the best Japanese restaurants in town. Price is very reasonable, but the taste never disappoints and is always consistent. I really like the bento. They have really good chicken and beef teriyaki, as well as rolls. Service is exceptional, too! Thanks for the wonderful meal over the years!

This restaurant offers excellent value, so come with a big appetite—portion sizes are quite generous. The sushi is fresh, and the rolls are crafted by the owner himself. It's a classic hole-in-the-wall spot where the focus is clearly on quality food and dedicated staff.
I ordered the Deluxe Bento ... There 2 things I didn’t care for, but doesn’t mean that it wasn’t good . It wasn’t for tasting pallet. Everything else was super delicious . Great atmosphere, tables greatly spaced apart, and great service! I definitely want to go back!
The food was served hot and fresh! The service was excellent, and the meals were prepared quickly. I will definitely return!
