I'm unsure what's going on and question whether there was a change in ownership but everything I ordered was off. Onion pancakes werent cook all the way. The soup for the beef stew noodle was almost like a clear water downed chicken stock. Dumplings were meh. Tofu noodle salad were old and mushy. Green beans had way too much salt and soy sauce. Did I go to dumpling empire three times last week? Yes, yes I did. This is our go to spot for pre or post SFO drop offs/pickups, as well as a necessary stop whenever we go to South Bay by way of SF. I used to fly home to SF and no one would want to pick me up they told me to take BART! Since discovering dumpling empire, every driver in my family is willing to give me an airport ride and the whole family changed their plans to tag along. Anyways, the food. Food is delicious, but finding a spot to park was very difficult on a late sunday evening. Each dish ordered was around $9. My favorite between the tong hao (vegetable dish), salt and pepper pork, and spicy beef tendon was the spicy beef tendon. It doesn't say on the menu, but you can purchase white rice for $2/serving. There is indoor seating, but it's pretty limited and feels a bit cramped. I think it's worth it if you order takeout and make your own rice at home.
I ordered: (1 Sesame pancake with marinated beef (2 pork dumpling with chive for pickup over the phone (The website is not working? . The pickup and payment was good, they even sprayed my credit card with disinfectant. The taste/temperature of both items I got was very good. Dumplings very juicy. Could not tell if it was house-made, but the hot sauce they give was very delicious as well. Highly recommend this restaurant.

another great discovery on the grand avenue. dumping empire is not a frills restaurant that lets its food shine and lets the stage take along. while his name makers are probably the star of the show, the other players seem fresh, crispy sweet with deep sesame, garlic and ingwer aromen, just as bright. try the crispy lotus roots, fresh gurke w/ straw mushroom, garlic bok choy and green sliced pfancake.
The food was well cooked chicken burger was moist, turkey burger was good and the order of fries were hot and fresh. 10x better than in n out. Ample parking outside. Maybe the only critical observation was that I didn't think the parking lot was very well lit, though I did see a pair of bike cops patrol the area as I walked out.
eating is great, but the service is missing. the place is small and when we are there, they just looked at us. they did not even welcome us. the tables were somewhat dirty and we were served with paperboard and utensil lol.
Good dumplings. The dough is not too thick. Good flavor and portions. The hot sauce is amazing. We tried the chicken Chinese spinach, pork Chinese spinach, shrimp green chives and spicy chicken wonton.

Small place but great food. Construction made it a little hard to get to but worth it. The walk was nice.
