Al Forno Caffe - Réserver une table

We discovered Al Forno a few years ago and have been coming back at least twice a year from San Diego. It is a neighborhood restaurant, with a very pleasant staff and excellent food. The portions are generous and the food quality is excellent, with very reasonable prices. Wednesdays are half price wine nights, with excellent wines at reasonable prices. I recommend Al forno most highly, as a neighborhood restaurant but also as a destination place if you are passing through Costa Mesa in your way further north or south.

Great authentic Italian food and very nice service. Portions were European sized (definitely a plus) and tasted very good. We had the Linguini Vongole as well as the Al Forno. The restaurant wasn’t busy which we quite enjoyed. Decor and atmosphere are alright. Would definitely recommend for the food and we’re likely to come back when in the area again! Service: Dine in

all these 5 stars can't be real. My fetuccini alfredo (just the pasta) cost $16 and 4 tiny pieces of chicken was $6 extra. I was regretting my decision to eat here the entire time. I should've just walked out when they brought my water with fly in it twice! I should've gone to Olive garden instead. My pasta was not good at all and couldn't even eat half of it. Food: 1

This place looks suspect sitting in a strip mall but it is absolutely worth your time. Great food, great service, great people. Kid-friendliness: Staff was super friendly and personable.
