My biggest question about my first culinary experience is who is grandmother cooking in the kitchen? Felt, like I had a house of cooked food. We were greeted and sitting by a beautiful lady, within seconds we had warm Pita bread and their Basil Special Sauce. The cook sent out two of her crispy rice and stew specialities. One of them is my favorite hormehsabzi, a must! I didn't see it in the menu so it could be on a secret menu. We ordered family style. Had the mouthwater Flatcut fillet, boneless chicken and ground beef Sirloin (pictures attached). Served with the rice perfectly boiled, with the most amazing aroma from the saffron. Now I had to know what the Dessert menu was about. We shared a piece of their role and baklava, along with some tea (chai). I was in heaven. I think one of the owners checked us. I thought that was a nice touch to our experience. When the check came, we were blown away that the five of us had the most amazing dinner and it was all under $100. Overall, between the taste of quality food, service, affordable prices and cleanliness. Basil is my new popular Mediterranean restaurant. Can't wait until they serve beer and wine soon!
