al tarboush is a clasp to me. her falafel is sincerely my favorite that I had everywhere. the family that owns the restaurant is very friendly, the prices are very reasonable, it is located in a fun part of the city, and the vegan selection is good. it's not a nice place, but have some tables for inside, as well as a few tables outside when the weather is beautiful. we get the falafel, tabbouleh and baba ghanoush, but I know that they also sell hummus, fattoush, and I think they often have a lens and rice intake option. they also have a regal of food, my man and I buy items like tahini and halvah by al tarboush. A vegan friend recommended this spot for the falafel pita wrap. I was getting tired of the usual vegan friendly Thai or Blueberry Hill meals in the University City Loop so I dropped in before seeing the Queens Of The Stone Age show at the Pageant last year. The deli space is small. Walk in, order at the counter and grab a seat if there is one. The two ladies behind the counter were very friendly and part of the family that owns the place. The falafel was fresh and tasty. Split the delicious garlic hummus/pita plate with a friend and we were both happy and did not spend more than 20 bucks between us. Want to try baba ganoush next trip.
Honestly, it's just as it appears. The food is authentic and delicious. A friend and I were in St. Louis and decided to have lunch here. If I lived in the area, I would come here every week. We tried four different dishes and everything was perfect. The service was excellent, with a sweet elderly gentleman serving us. I would definitely recommend this place.
Amazing Baba Ganoush, Hummus and Tabouli. Grape leaves are fabulous as are falafel. A treat for vegans and non vegans alike plenty of meat dishes as well. After you've had their baba and hummus, the supermarket stuff just won't taste right because it's not! Thank you Al Tarboush.

The food and service at this restaurant are consistently excellent. It's unfortunate that my most recent visit may have been the last before they close. I send my best wishes to the staff and am grateful for the delicious meals I've enjoyed at this charming deli.
falafel sand, which is a great choice here. my first falafel sand we used to sneak out of school to get one to lunch. the garlic tahini sauce is delicious. the owner and his family who work there are some of the nicest people I ever encountered in the restaurant.
do not let the simple filiale before place fool them - they will not find falafel these good each where near al tarboush deli! so light and fluffy, I never had such a thing. delicious! also try the non-meat pebbles, really different and delicious.
the food was cold which I didn't like but it was tasty, also the staff didn't seem so professional but they are nice in general

the falafel sandwich is amazing and it is around $5! they also have a very delicious spicy vegan sauce that comes with her!
This hidden gem in the downtown area is a great find. The food is outstanding!
