Alaska Halibut House

Must try...in Valdez, AK. I had been to Valdez a couple times before I found this place. We always went camping and cooked most of our food ourselves. In 2005, I visited Valdez with a friend that grew up there and had since moved away. He told me about the Halibut House and I knew I had to try it. My friend had worked there as a teenager, years ago. He told me about how the Halibut House gets it 's fresh fish off the docks each day during the summer. Great place to eat. Unlike one of the previous reviews, we still had a great Heilbutt dinner here today. The place was clean, lots of plants all around, the food was hot and delicious, and the buyer was very pleasant and friendly. We usually come here to eat when we are in Valdez and were not disappointed.

I had the Spicey Chicken Sandwich and Cheese Fries, very tasty. It quenched the fast-food craving I've had. Normally I would have to drive to Anchorage to satisfy my fast-food itch, now, there's no more need. My wife and I are going to HH tomorrow. She pregnant and super stoked!

I love the Chowder and Crispies teriyaki sand Halibut and spicy Halibut! I worked here when I was a kid and the prices rose... But the quality is still good!

I would just like to say that this isn 't REALLY a Seafood restesturaunt, more of a burger joint that sells seafood as well. Two thumbs up =D
