Fantastic, consistent dining. Whether dining in or doing takeout, my experiences at Alex’s Kitchen have always been positive.Even nicer to dine-in now that the expansion has been completed.While a relatively more limited menu, Alex’s has their dishes dialed in.If you’re a pasta lover, give the Pasta Alex a shot, it’s my go to. Other offerings are equally as good.Between appetizers, drinks, main course, and dessert, you should expect to spend $40+ per person. Of course less if you are just getting a main dish.Pictured is the Pasta Alex $22).
It's a nice local place that serves mainly Italian, steak and seafood dishes. The food is delicious and the servings are plentiful if that is what you are looking for.The restaurant is somewhat cozy, so the ambience can be a little loud with a full house. Reservations would be recommended during the busy dinner hours.
Black's Barbecue in Austin, Texas, does not live up to the hype. I ordered the chopped beef sandwich and macaroni and cheese, but the sandwich was unimpressive and suffered from excessive burnt bits. The service was average, and the ambiance was just decent. Overall, I found the food to be overrated.
