"$20 oxtail plate.. not good at all. Oxtails had no flavor.. I got 4 small tails and lots of sauce... meat didn't fall off the bone.. beans and rice dry.. small scoop of cabbage.. never again. I'll stick with making my own"

From the first bite, all I could taste and smell was grease, and it was quite visible too. There were no utensils or napkins, and the grease was soaking through the bag. The customer service was lacking; there was no greeting or thank you—just a paper bag shoved in my direction. I can hardly believe I drove so far for such mediocre food, which really goes against my usual judgment. The oxtails were mostly fat, and the cabbage looked neither cooked nor steamed. To top it off, the oxtails had a strange gritty texture! This is what happens when you stray from your usual favorites, but unfortunately, they were closing just as I finished my homework. I was appalled by how much I paid for this gre...
I definitely enjoyed my food... my first time there and it's a really busy, kinda hole in the wall spot. The set up could use a little work but it's awesome food so you can definitely overlook the look and set up. I didn't look in the dining area... maybe next time. Our food was a to go order! It was fresh and prepared quickly. The customer service was mediocre but with a spot like that it's expected honestly. One lady that handed us the food was super friendly and sweet. She should train the whole staff. Wish I would've asked her what her name was. Anyway check them out and follow me for my 2 cents!

I ordered the chicken in Braunschweig and my husband ordered the curry chicken. We both loved our meals and found them very authentic. The pages were plentiful so I brought half home. We stayed many times in Jamaica and can testify that this is authentic and tasty. My only complaint is a long waiting period for food, with several people coming to us and being served before us. Wow!!! If you’re looking for an authentic Caribbean experience, this is the spot to visit!!!! The food is AMAZING!!!! It’s freshly prepared and served hot. The drinks are equally delicious. The service here is exceptional. The oxtail, cabbage, beef patties, and goat dishes are incredible!!!! My husband and I always choose this place when we crave mouthwatering Caribbean cuisine!
We brought our family from California here because they absolutely love Jamaican food, and they were very impressed! As always, I ordered the combination plate with Oxtails and Goat Curry, and I was not disappointed. Oh, and the banana pudding is simply delicious! Due to COVID, we had to place our order at the take-out line, pick up our food, and then head to the restaurant.
This is undoubtedly the best Jamaican restaurant in Houston. My takeout order was ready in no time. The oxtails are absolutely fantastic, and they're reasonably priced! I was pleasantly surprised by the oxtail stew, which came with dumplings and peas mixed in. If you're craving Caribbean food, definitely stop by here—you won't regret it!
Generous portion sizes and genuine Jamaican flavor! The restaurant has a spacious setting and even features a live band. The food is definitely worth it; however, I think I'll skip the beef patty next time as it was a bit too dry for my taste. On the other hand, the chicken patty was delicious.
