Alfonso's - Réservation de table

I ordered a kebab wrap, chicken wrap and chips both with garlic sauce. On arrival, the shop was busy which usually means good things! We are on holiday in the area, so phoned ahead to pre collect. The food was delicious, we enjoyed every bit there was so much food we both were stuffed and ended up leaving some for the next day : . The only reason for scoring 4 and not 5 would be the lack of garlic sauce in both wraps I don't even think we had any in to be honest even though we did ask. However, the delicious food made up for this, we didn't need the additional taste! The chicken kebab was insane. Highly recommend

Without a doubt the best Fish and chip shop in the Borders. Great variety of take aways available. Food is of a high quality and great portion sizes. Worthy of mention are the staff who are excellent and always helpful. Get there for 4pm sharp.....leave it later and you will queue. But even then its worth it..

This is the best chippy takeaway in the Scottish Borders. On opening they have prepared and cooked loads of food for the customers so the turn over is quick so you don’t wait long. The place is immaculate and the staff very polite. I would recommend this place to anyone.

The kebab was mediocre, I didn't like the chilli sauce much but that could just be my preference. I wouldn't order it again. When I returned and tried the spicy haggis, it was still almost frozen in the middle. I was disappointed with the entire experience. Réservez une table maintenant

I had fish and chips, and waited for the chips to be cooked fresh... Unfortunately the fish tasted like it had been kept warm for a good hour or so. Not great unfortunately. However the staff seemed nice and helpful.

Chips weren't the best and chicken pakora was dry! No better than the bad chippies in gala or melrose.
