Ali's is a short walk from the Giessen train station (bahnhof), and is well worth a visit. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive; the menu is all fish/seafood, and most all the items are grilled and served with a salad and delicious pommes frites (small, round, lightly fried potatoes). My wife ordered the salmon and thought it one of the better-prepared salmon steaks she'd ever had. I order Dorade (whatever that is); it came with skin, head, and bones---but was very delicious. Dinner for two was about 25 Euros and well worth it. If you know Giessen bus lines, this place is just a block from the 802 stop. Give it a try---you won't regret it.
I am a regular customer here since this restaurant opened and I find the food very tasty, fresh, nicely presented and quite reasonable for quality seafood. The service is efficient and friendly. One can also buy quality fresh fish here to cook at home -- a big plus! Highly recommended.
Very generous portions, very fresh and perfectly prepared fish. I had the salmon, my husband ordered the dorado and we shared a bowl of delicious fish soup. The owners were very warm and welcoming and gave us a complimentary Turkish dessert. Can't wait to go back!
A very good Turkish fish restaurant. It is very nicely furnished and usually enough space. Behind the restaurant and at the edge of the road, you have no problems with the car. The food is well prepared and tastes very good. The prices are also very good.
