Our waiter was very attentive and apologized for how long our meal took. While they advise ordering to share, I think it is really covering up the fact that they are severely understaffed to manage the restaurant. They only had 5 tables when I was there on a Sunday night and it took me over two hours to get my main dish. My fellow diners were not happy nor impressed with the food. The wait staff kindly offered us a round of cocktails and dessert which was appreciated but it was overpriced for the small portions and wait time.
At first site it was a winner! The hotel and restaurant has been restored to it's former glory. What a treat to go back in time and into the future all at the same time! The menu choices were unique and modern. We had never experienced this level of gourmet cooking and truly enjoyed the service and the dinner. Thank you Sam for helping us make our dinner, wine and dessert choices! This is a wonderful gen in the middle of all the busy busy! Oh! Breakfast was Awesome as well! You knocked it out of the ball park! Thank you!
Alma couldn't make it as soon as they won the Restaurant of the Year award, and after a period of silence, they have settled into a routine and have remained relatively quiet for several years. The menu features a variety of intriguing and delicious options, and we tried six different dishes recommended by our wonderful server. Everything was fabulous, and I highly recommend it; they just need to promote themselves better to let people know they are still around!
We arrived way too early for the cool crowd, perfect time to sit as the sun set and catch up with friends. Cocktails are superb and the chickpea sticks and onion puffs are great drinking snacks. Server was a nice normal person, so helpful, left his Sunset Strip ego at the door. We will be back!

my birthday weekend, the day after my blossom I had traveled to the standard. the potato tacos! that dessert! so delicious and the drinks the blood orange mule is mine to go and that was my first time eating loved it easy! great atmosphere and people. I'm looking forward to coming back safely.
Nothing i could not cook up in my own kitchen. Mixed drinks were subpar. Why on earth it took so long to bring out basic chicken kabobs with store bought tasting tahini and oily fries is beyond me. Standard raise your standards.
The food is incredible, and the service from the wait staff is among the best I've ever experienced in Los Angeles. It's a fantastic restaurant that truly deserves its spot on Jonathan Gold's best of LA list.
The dining experience was excellent, featuring a variety of intriguing dishes. The staff was outstanding as well. I have to mention this!
