Panüöl is a great location as it gets more sun then virtually anywhere else at Flumserberg and the views belie the fact that you're so close to Zurich. The architects at Atelier-f created a modern yet quintessentially Swiss chalet that is a welcome addition to the otherwise traditional mix of huts. The food is typical for the area. I've had the Haussalat which is really a Panüöler Käseschnitte in disguise and a hearty dish for hungry skiers. My son loved the Schweineschnitzl. The service was nice and the kitchen accepted an order 20' after their normal cutoff time of 3pm (thank you! . If you like modern architecture and enjoy alpine views, this is the place when you're at Flumserbeg.

Panüoöl is more accessible now that there is a chair lift, which makes it more popular with the crowd, in comparison to a few years back. The restaurant is modern, yet simple in decoration, a bit plain for my liking (which could be lifted with just a few sheep skins). Their menu is simple, probably because they are off the beaten track. A was a bit surprised at their lack of healthy, vegetarian and glutenfree options, besides one salad and french fries but then maybe my eating style is not what the main crowd wants. Staff is nice and friendly, maybe a bit overly keen when it comes to clean up dishes and plates, where there is still some food...

We kind of just found this place upon our arrival to Flumserberg. They were able to fit us in and we were very happy. The food was great, the service was fantastic, and the setting hard to beat. My daughter and I spent a little time in the play area and listened to the cow bells. For dinner we enjoyed great local food and chatting with the hostess (owner). We even left with a small bag of local snacks for the next day. Over our week in the area, this was one of the best restaurants and we returned for a second night out.

Service was friendly and fast. Food was tasty and gave us energy for the rest of the skiing day. This wood restaurant was fully rebuilt after a fire destroyed it in 2011. Don't forget to enjoy the views while having lunch!
