Alte Schmiede - Réservation de table

Restaurant Alte Schmiede was suggested to us by the owners of the gasthaus where we were staying. It was a pleasant walk in to the town centre where we found Alte Schmiede in a lovely square next to the church surrounded by numerous other restaurants...and if I had checked out tripadvisor first I would probably not have eaten here. The food itself isn't bad what really lets down this place is the service; it's poor to say the least. Some tables appeared to get more attention than others (I won't go so far as to say "racist" but the 2 Dutch tables and 1 British table seemed to have more than the fair share of issues), peoples drinks were missed, a whole meal forgotten, very hard to attract at...

Ein schönes Fachwerkhaus idyllisch am Markplatz gelegen und mit schattigen Sitzplätzen lädt die Touristen zum Verweilen ein. Leider ist das Essen wohl auch nur für Touristen gedacht, die ohnehin nicht wiederkommen. Das gegrillte Schweinenackensteck schmeckte säuerlich und war definitiv zu alt, und die dazu servierten Rösti waren aus der Tiefkühltruhe. Auch die Schweineschnitzel haben sehr nach TK-Ware ausgesehen. Bei den aufgerufenen Preisen ist das Essen meiner Meinung nach nicht akzeptabel. Ich werde hier nicht mehr einkehren und kann das Restaurant zum Essen nicht empfehlen.

Na een dagje wandelen door het mooie Rheinland blij met een hapje eten. Drukke avond voor 2 dames bediening én voor de keuken. Moest een half uur wachten vóór ik mocht bestellen. Na dit half uur nog weer een half uur! Wilde toch wel eten. T was inmiddels half 9! Ik had geluk, ik mocht bestellen. Eten was overeenkomstig. Afgeraffeld, smakeloze schnitzel. Halve krop ijsbergsla met wat dressing. Aldi wedges erbij. Neen, ik heb aan de Rijn al beter gegeten voor minder geld. Hier zien ze mij niet terug!

horrible, horrible, horrible treatment we received at this place, if you are black or latino or anything different than white and blonde don't come in here... they said to us one hour to be seated because they were busy even though they had tables and showed us the door, then they let some other white people get in and sit, they don't want our money, too bad, you are not the only restaurant in Boppard. Réservez une table maintenant

I was with 6 people for dinner, we ordered olives, bread which never arrived. Dinner arrived so we just started on it only one of us thought the food was ok (chicken and chips). The olives etc was not on the bill. The service was awful staff unfriendly and not very helpful. I would not recommend this at all.

Klein restaurantje aan de markt met terras. Kort geweest, maar lekker op ons gemak een tomatensoep met room en brood gegeten. Lekker groot bord, niks aan te merken op de soep en de bediening. Wij zaten meer voorin in het restaurant en hebben daar niks gemerkt van keukengeluiden.

Very hungry and needed a meal. We were not disappointed. The staff were great and we soon got served. Food was delicious and piping hot. You can eat inside or out. Good menu and wine list. Enjoy.

Pedí Schnitzel (carne de cerdo empanada) y estaba tan mala que no me la pude comer. El servicio tampoco me gustó. No recomiendo este restaurante Réservez une table maintenant

Tot twee keer toe werden we onvriendelijk behandeld.Omdat het eten er smakelijk uit zag wilde we het een tweede kans geven.....

Spiste en helt grei og enkel middag her. Grei service. De kunne nok ha solgt mer om de hadde vært litt for seg.
