Altitude Restaurant - Shangri-La Hotel Sydney

Restaurant with 5-star price and 4-star execution. The staff are helpful, the ingredients are top quality and the view is outstanding – better than Sydney Tower – but at $145 per person for a 3-course dinner (drinks extra), we should have come away from the night feeling amazed... not merely satisfied. It’s great that staff check if there are any food allergies to be aware of, but it got a bit tiring after the fifth query. The background music in the restaurant is just so wrong. It should be elegant sophistication (maybe even live music at these prices) but certainly not pop song covers. Overall, the restaurant seems to have excellence within its reach, but unfortunately the execution falls...

We dined at Altitude twice during our staycation. Once was for High Tea with just our little family the views were spectacular as we were seated by the window and the food delectable, and the other time was for the three course dinner with extended family sadly the window seat option for dinner would have cost a pretty penny but the views were still amazing where we were sitting, the food was delicious, and our main waiter was great (my apologies as I didn't quite catch your name)!

Best view, great service comes with price, We visited Altitude for our anniversary and overall experience was first-class. Degustation menu had great presentation and was well-balanced throughout... only downside was the main, I think it was slow cooked lamb dish and it had too much of that lamb odour. Although main dish did not keep up with the previous dishes it was such a great night out to be remembered. Also they even sent out chocolate plates with message on it.,

Exceptional service, great ambience and great food presentation. A little bit pricy but I don't mind paying for the price if you get exceptional service, the staff were always friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to make our dining experience very pleasant ????

Amazing experience to celebrate my friend's 50th birthday! Views were stunning (even on a cloudy day). Food was excellent! Good range of choices in menus and dishes. Extensive wine list too. Service was friendly and helpful. Really lovely fine dining experience!

First class dinning, service and cuisine and the restaurant boasts one of the best harbour views in Sydney. For starters we tried the foi gras and followed up with the mains: baramundi and Kobe wagyu, both were excellent. Réservez une table maintenant

Had a really enjoyable high tea with my sisters. The view is just unmatched. We had the festive high tea $95 with a glass of sparkling) plus drinks. Id say 25% was the view.

Everyone was very respectful and accommodating. The wine pairing was a fun experience. The wines were fantastic. The food was 10/10 for being artistic but 8/10 for taste.
