We were very excited to go to a French restaurant in Rock Hill, we are in Paris often and thought this would be a good substitute. Forget it. The menu is not French. Chicken salad sandwiches have never been found in France, the croissant maybe. The French pastries were beautiful. We bought $65.00 worth to bring home and share with the family. The macarons tasted flavorless peaches and cream tasted nothing like a peach. Chocolate salted caramel was not sifted when made so there were large blobs of flour and chocolate no caramel or salt. During our visit to the nearby arcade, we decided to check out Rock Hill for the first time. We first stopped at a coffee shop in the area to grab some iced coffees. When we entered Amelie, we were warmly welcomed and prepared to order brunch. However, we were informed that if we wanted to enjoy our iced coffees, we would have to sit outside. Essentially, we couldn’t eat inside the café (which, unbeknownst to us, also serves coffee) if we wanted to continue sipping our drinks from a nearby roaster. The food in Rock Hill was rather underwhelming. The chicken salad sandwich was decent, but it had too many cranberries for my taste. The croissant was also okay. I didn't enjoy the caramel torte, which is surprising because I usually love salted caramel; something just felt off about it. I also tried a marcotter and wasn't impressed—it tasted more like watered-down caramel than espresso. Overall, it was disappointing. However, the ambiance was lovely, and the staff was friendly. I might give this place another chance the next time I'm in town.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant, thanks to their excellent coffee and delicious food. My top pick from the menu is the chicken salad croissant, largely due to the amazing quality of the croissant! My husband really enjoys the chicken pesto on ciabatta. The location is perfect for a leisurely walk down Main Street and near Fountain Park. I also keep coming back for the Cafe Marcotter iced coffee! Réservez une table maintenant

The food here is incredibly delicious. There's plenty of space, but the design and overall aesthetic could definitely use some improvement. The mismatched chairs, unusual artwork, and odd fixtures don’t really come together well. However, it seems to have a lot of potential. If you're not too concerned about aesthetics, this place is definitely a 5-star experience!

All Amelie's coffee shops have something in common, but every location is unique. This one is my favorite so far. Creatively decorated, with taste and humor. It's always nice to sit down and enjoy good coffee from a real ceramic cup. The staff is personable and welcoming, the whole atmosphere has a cozy small town vibe. I enjoyed the Chicken Pesto Goat Cheese sandwich, although the chicken was a bit on the dry side. The French dip was tasty as well, but it could have used a bit more roast beef. The bread for both sandwiches was exceptional. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 4 out of 5.
