American Steamed Cheeseburgers

I come from Spain and it is my first time eating a steamed burger, a delight, something new that is worth trying. In my case I had the steamed salmon and my partner had the classic beef steam hamburger. The place is nice, the decoration is very American haha with all the cutouts and paintings from past times it transports you to America in the 1900s. They play good music all the time, classics from the 90s and 80s. The service of 10, an older couple who make the homemade food themselves, it is appreciated to have a place like this to rest from so much junk fast food. P.S. If anyone is looking for a food challenge they have that too!

This is a covid 19 takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. If ambiance and upscale are your thing this place isn't for you. But if great burgers are what inspire you, it is imperative that you stop in here. The steamed cheeseburger is unique to this party of CT and I don't know why. There should be more of them around the state and country. They are well done yet juicy and flavorful. I went with cheddar cheese and it gave it even more flavor. Nice fresh bread, fresh toppings, a winner in every sense. On a scale from 0-10 I rate this 9.2.

Our first time here, owner was very friendly, burgers were very good, tuna mac was delicious, just the way I make it with peas! And a very eclectic variety of sodas to choose from. I will go back again, if you dont like alot of cheese on your burger, you better tell him, lol! I love cheese, and it was alot of cheese, I had to take more than half off.

10/28/17 Came back to try the burgers this time around and we were not disappointed! And the Mac salad and potato salad were very tasty too! All we can say is 'WOW! ' Best steamed food we have yet! We both had the steamed steak sandwich and will be back to try the other items on the menu! Réservez une table maintenant

Wow! Make sure you go hungry because the double cheeseburger is like the size of your head! It was melty, deliciousness and I'd definitely go back! Plus they have alllll the old fashioned glass bottle sodas and a fun, home-like atmosphere. You won't be disappointed!

This little place may be a hole in the wall but the food is just amazing because the owner dose not use grease on any of his food and the restaurant is incredibly clean. The owner is extremely friendly and remembers the name of his frequent patrons.

Just moved to CT and had never heard of a steamed cheeseburger. Absolutely delicious and the kids loved it too. If you havent gone yet and want a burger, skip all the fast food places, stop here and get a double. You will not be disappointed.

Cozy small business, good steam burgers and also steamed salmon and chicken sandwich. Great choices for drinks, I recommend Maine root ginger if you want to taste a spicy soda.

Burgers were big and juicy snd delicious and served on a nice roll. The potato salad was very good too. Wanted fries though...but great job
