Decided to leave the familiar surroundings of my suburb to venture somewhere different and on reviews chose this place. On balance, I can see a commonality of misgivings, but nothing ventured, nothing gained. Unassuming from the outside, but chic inside. Nicely lite inside with a very local feel to it. Food Oysters were ok, as Oysters generally are. The steak was cooked to perfection the sides of green and chips came out hot and were delicious. The Hapuka was excellent. The service was pleasant without being to pretentious. Bottom line for two with a couple glasses wine and champagne $280. Absolutely incredible food, we had the set menu with matching wines and couldn't decide which course was our favourite. All of the wines were delicious too, we really appreciated the extra time taken to explain each of the pairings. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
