Both my husband and I ordered ice cream cones, but to our surprise, our order was served in cups instead. Additionally, the service was lacking. Just as first impressions matter, so do last impressions. On top of that, the price we paid felt quite high for the portion sizes, which were reminiscent of a child's serving. The food and ice cream at this restaurant are exceptional. Although the prices are somewhat higher, the portion sizes are quite generous. I usually don't eat much seafood, but the dishes I've sampled have been wonderfully prepared. Their hot dogs are superb, and the ice cream is simply delicious! However, the customer service and wait times can sometimes be lacking.
I've been visiting this restaurant for nearly 30 years. Last year, I discovered that they don’t open until 4 PM, which was a surprise—definitely don’t rely on information you find online! This year, I stopped by on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend, only to find the place was closed. It felt like it might be permanently shut down. Such a disappointment!
I've been visiting this restaurant since I was a child, and I can confidently say it's the best ice cream around. The staff are always very friendly, and the fried food is excellent. My favorite dish is the Haddock Fisherman's Platter!
The best homemade onion rings you can find anywhere! The ice cream is also amazing, but remember it's only available during certain seasons.
