Another Broken Egg Cafe

This restaurant is a solid three. It is a wonderful location in a beautiful area. The service was standard but somewhat slow. The food was not very good. I got the biscuit and gravy with sausage and grits. The gravy and grits were thick and dry and the sausage was burnt. A southern staple and it was sub par. My wife had the creole eggs Benedict, which was better than what I had. I ordered biscuit beignets. Hard, hard, and hard. The sauce was jelly mixed with honey. They were terrible. If you go, do not order what I did.

Always plan to call ahead, this place draws a crowd. Parking can be a challenge as well. I have eaten here several times, every time has been a positive experience. The food is priced slightly higher than you may want to see for breakfast, but every portion is larger than expected as well. Service has always been great.
