After not writing a TripAdvisor review in years, I felt compelled to share my experience. During a festival in Dunoon at the end of May, I ordered a couple of single fish dishes for myself and my partner. The fish was absolutely delicious - the batter was perfectly golden and crunchy, and the flavor reminded me of classic chip shop fish. I highly recommend trying this place if you ever find yourself in Dunoon.
my mother and my daughter brought the watter to the dunoon. for many years I have a fish sauce from anselmo’s and I am happy to say that eating is still excellent, the fish and chips were perfectly cooked and the staff in la balena was beautiful. best chippie in dunoon.
had no chippy in dunoon for old and thought cowal games Saturday night was probably not the best idea as the place was really busy. I was wrong! eating was great and the staff very polite! everyone who had eaten has carved about it! Thanks again!
that was as brilliant as it was 40 years ago when my honey was stationed here. it was my first (scottish meal then and it was my first meal this time. Réservez une table maintenant
I, to this day, rate my fish and chips eaten anywhere else in the world with Anselmos. Being close means they are really good.
